Northern suburbs: Townsville suburbs we manage in

The northern suburbs are home to our office in Kirwan. They cover the former City of Thuringowa and the growth corridor running up the Bruce Highway towards the beaches. Kirwan is the most populous suburb in Townsville. Around it sit Thuringowa Central (with Willows Shopping Centre), Mount Louisa, Cosgrove, Bohle Plains, Burdell, Deeragun, Mount Low, Bushland Beach and Jensen.

Most rentals here are family homes built from the 1980s onwards, many on larger blocks with room for a pool, a shed or a boat. Newer estates in Burdell, Mount Low, Bohle Plains and Bushland Beach add modern three- and four-bedroom homes built to current cyclone standards. North Shore Marketplace in Burdell and Willows Shopping Centre anchor day-to-day shopping.

Families, defence members and tradespeople make up much of the tenant pool, along with people working in the Bohle industrial area. Out towards Alice River and Rangewood, acreage properties attract tenants who want space and quiet. That is a smaller, more specialised rental market.
